I’ve built and renovated many homes in my day and would recommend Colonial Countertops to my closest family and friends. If you want a countertop fabricated and installed properly, they’re your go-to.

As a small business owner, I have had the pleasure of working with this team for over 20 years. They are detail-oriented and always go the extra mile to help me provide timely service to some of the largest property management firms in Greater Victoria. I highly recommend the fine folks at Colonial!

FAQs

How long does it take?

Stone: 1–2 weeks to template, drawings within 48 hours, then 2–3 weeks from approval (if in stock).
Laminate usually has a faster turnaround time.
Custom colours add supplier lead time.

Can I see the actual slab?

Yes — for natural stone, you can view the slab physically.

For Quartz: samples are available in our showroom, plus photo overlays showing how the veining looks on your specific layout.

Do I need to seal it?

Quartz & porcelain: No sealing required. Natural stone: We apply 3 coats at installation.
We recommend annual resealing as part of routine care and maintenance.

Can I put hot pans on it?

Always use trivets.
Quartz and laminate will be damaged by heat. Porcelain and granite handle heat the best of all the materials.

Where will the seams be?

Seam placement is determined during the template and fabrication process.

What about sinks?

Stone: Undermount is the most popular option and gives a cleaner look.
Laminate: Drop-in only — undermount is not available.
We also sell sinks and faucets.
